I agree, but 204 lbs ft of Torque at 4300 should be awesome on track. Maybe show those Lotus, and M3 boys what a lil hot hatch can do

I'm actually an acquaintance of someone who works for Insideline. He takes pictures all the time of things they have in the garage. I shall shoot him a PM. Dont hold your breath though.

I just want to know 3 things.

1. US engine and build specs
2. Price
3. US Release date
4. Where they are testing them so I can squat and try to get pictures or more info.

ok 4 things.

Looks like the Type R votes have the lead. I would love a Type R but know that's next to impossible. Heck we were lucky that Honda gave us the ITR. I went with the 1.8L IMA but what I really want is a 2.0L IMA. This car is not going take any leads in fuel economy unless we get another Insight, but pairing the IMA with a 2.0L would make it sporty and help the best it can for fuel efficiency. If you want a gas saver vehicle, there's the Insight. The market needs a sporty car that is good on gas as well and I can see the CR-Z selling well if Honda gets it right by aiming towards sporty more than green.

Amnesiac you said it best. They should not make this another Insight and power should not be found wanting. A 2.0 Ltr with the IMA will rock.

I am going to make that spec list my screen saver and pray every day that it is correct. Here is everything from it that makes me wish it was true.

20 hp @ 2000 rpm (electric motor)
76 ft-lbs. @ 0 rpm (electric motor)
1.8L displacement
160 hp @ 6300 rpm
204 ft-lbs. @ 4300 rpm
6-speed manual transmission
LED headlamps
tire pressure monitoring
turn signal mirrors (if they keep the current ones the concept has)
multi-level heating driver seat
adaptive cruise control
keyless ignition
rear and side view camera

All I need to add is remote start and I am all set!
