the crz interior

Now that we know it will be 2 seats from the latest buzz. We need to tell Honda what we want inside.
We definitely want a driver focused interior, like a real sport car. All the driver touched items like shift knob, steering wheel, pedals, and seats should say race car!
I hope all the toys that are found in comfort cars are optional to keep cost down and I don't want them anyway. I don't need to be distracted when I am driving hard.
However, the electronic mpg helpers are a must to help me save gas when I am just driving to work.
Please Honda, put your F1 ideas into the crz suspension, motor and interior! The people who want less of a race car can buy the insight or fit hybrid.
As for the purple lighting and the space ship look in the concept, put that in the fit hybrid or insight. Keep the crz race car classic on the inside.
I also love leather interior, it is worth the extra (reasonable amount) $

- keep the speed in the dead center of the tach, not on the upper-level pod like the Civic and Insight
- keep the big center console divider
- keep the clean tight everything together almost motorcycle instrument pod
- ditch the weird blue lighting
- give us a decent glovebox
- give us 2-back seats that can fold down perfectly flat so it looks like a 2-seater, but the insurance companies insure as a 4-seater
- make navi screen as an option, not all of us want this crap
- make leather seats an option, not all of us like those crappy slippery, always cold in the winter, always hot and sticky in summer things
- make the glass roof optional, and on the metal roof version give us a gigantic sunroof option, same style as Gen2 CRX as in pops up and runs outside
- give us a nice privacy cover over the rear cargo area
- put stereo and cruise controls on the steering wheel and illuminate them
- hide the soundsystem like what was done in the S2000
- make sure the steering column is telescoping and tiltable
- make sure we have an all black interior, with just a few hints of contrasting grey, simple is good

Where exactly did it say 2-seater?
Written by auto reporter Mr. Horell yesterday.
"As a two-seater, the CRZ's smaller body mass versus the Insight should make up for the weight of the bigger engine, brakes, and tires. So a 2800-pound total, with lots of electric-assist torque and a revvy gasoline engine, should make it the real deal as a pocket performance coupe."

I think that it will be a 2+2 car, I am thinking it is just a typo or misunderstanding. I cant think they would take the hit of being a "sports car" on insurance and sales because of that. Also think if they pull the two eats that will change the lines of the car and I for one do not want that.

Thanks, I missed that.
I still think it will be a 2+2, it will not only appeal to more people which will help them sell better, but it will be cheaper to insure.

If it is a 2+2, the seats will be for kids. It's not really going to help with sales.
The lower insurance is not going to be a big deal either.
I hope its DOES NOT have rear seats.
The insight and fit are much better choices for somebody who wants rear seats.
This is a special driver's hybrid car and should have 2 seats.

For me 2-only or 2+2 is not that big of a deal, after all the holy grail CRX SiR was a 2+2

Go get a insurance quote for a corvette and then say a Celica where both cars are worth the same amount. I think you will be surprised with how much the difference is. Also as long as the seats fold down it does not matter that much and then you can transport more poeple if you had to. If I was a betting man I would say it will stay a 2+2 car.

I think too the differences might differ from state to state, but I live in the great and greedy tax state of New York, and if they can charge more for less they do!

Agreed, if I can fold the seat back down so it just looks like a big flat shelf back there, awesome, that is how the car would be 99% of the time.
I just think it will be a 2+2 because in these economic times Honda needs to make this appeal to a broad audience, and I suspect back seats, even if they are only small token seats will be a turn-on for more buyers than a turn-off.

I'd be all for a two-seater even though i've never owned one, and Honda can take all the F1 cues they want to.

I'm pretty indifferent. I wouldnt mind a temporary mini-bench type thingee in the back like the CRX's of the past.

So what's a 'special' driver?
