Do you trust Honda enough to purchase the car during the first year of release, or will you wait for the second model year to see any potential issues with the cars?

Sleep  well, if I believed in that then I would wait and wait, and wait, and wait for years and then never own the car thinking that the next one would be even better. And it probably will be.

The car will be first sold in Japan and Europe so there should not be any major problems. Also, Honda is good about fixing design problems, usually.  Smiley

I wouldn't worry about any problems. Honda is known for their quality and reliability.

I second that, I did not buy an extended warranty for my Honda Fit but I did for my Nissan Cube.

Honda is a very reliable brand with few recalls.

I'm going to wait at least a year.  While Honda has the best quality(it's true, I've done the research), there not bulletproof.  The first few years of the S2000 had over 15 TSB's.  While not recalls, still not that good. Although if I totaled my RSX, I would get one.
